The Fifth Column by James García Woods
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
1930s Spain. Ex-detective Paco Ruiz, Constable Felipe Fernández and translator Cindy Walker are ordered to San Antonio de la Jarre to determine the killer of Sam Johnson. Johnson was a member of the Araham Lincoln Battalion of the International Brigade, fighting on the side of the communists.
An interesting and enjoyable historical mystery.
