Widow Mrs Graham and her son arrive at Wildfell Hall. Her lack of openness leads to speculation and rumour. Gilbert Markham soon becomes intrigued by her and we read about his thoughts and actions. Which lead to Mrs Graham's story and how and why she arrived at the Hall.
An enjoyable and interesting re-read.
